Synopsis

Until 1920, when they began to have an openly sexual orientation, peep shows offered entertainment based on oddities and curiosities: dream worlds, nostalgic images ... In his new show, Marcel et ses Drôles de Femmes propose a circus track inspired by these “looking machines” that invite voyeurism. Inside, we have to activate the mechanism with a coin. Behind the glass, the obscenities of our society. An unbalanced and unjust world that makes us desire, wants to seduce us and push us towards unhealthy consumption. Through funny and unusual circus acts, the power of money, the suppression of freedoms, our defects, fears and difficulties are evoked. A great emotional vacuum that contrasts with the outside world of appearances and self-imposed happiness that masks everyday reality.
