Synopsis

This is a stage work that has iron as its main subject and that Joan Català wants to share with the professionals and audience in Tàrrega before finishing it. Iron - its smell, its sound, its coldness - are part of this artist’s family heritage, someone who has made manual and craftwork his creative landscape and performative philosophy. Sound travels through this metal at a speed of approximately 5,102 m/s and, based on this finding, the research deepens the musical possibilities of the materials. A workshop, iron plates, tubes, plates, clamps, pulleys and a vibraphone, the instrument of metal soul par excellence. Bodies in action, dance, gesture, circus, curiosity. The movement calls us at a unique moment that will not happen again.
