Synopsis

In 2017, Julia Bertran published “M'estimes and em times”, a book that questioned many ideas that had marked her life: Do we love how we want to or how we have been told that we should? This show brings the concepts that the book speaks about: the acceptance of vulnerability, contradictions, uncertainties, empowerment ... to the show. Accompanied by Julia Bertran and her dance teacher, Ana Chinchilla, we attend a singular class of twerking; a sense of awareness of the patriarchal gaze with which we understand the world and a call to transform it. An opportunity for us to accept and express our doubts go deeper into the roots of our behaviours and we humbly free ourselves with a simple and tumultuous twitch of the bum. A party!
