Synopsis
In Mexico, there are fourteen million stateless people, over two hundred thousand displaced by violence and around thirty thousand missing people. This montage tackles the problems generated from the rupture of links between a person and the land; either through forced displacement, social marginalisation or violent death. Social identity, personal identity and real identity is the indissoluble trinomial that enables a person to become a citizen, person and living being. Ulysses’ uprooting from Ithaca is only the pretext to review the ways some less heroic figures relate to their land.
