URBAN NATION: For Nina

Synopsis

An artist trained in ballet and contemporary dance who has specialised in break, hip hop and dance and has performed all over the world since 2002. This solo pays homage to the legendary Nina Simone, vocalist and civil-rights activist. “For Nina" is also in memory of Marjory Smarth, pioneer of House Dance, a singular master and artist who died recently. Nina Simone and Marjory Smarth, two freedom fighters who inspire the world with their art.
