MERIDIANS Meridians is a european network for the performing arts in non-conventional venues which was established in 2006. The network exists to promote the creation and co-production of works based on exchanges between artists and partners from various European Union countries, in order to spread intercultural and European creations in the field of the performing arts. For 2010-2012 the Meridians network comprises the following festivals: Ana Desetnica (Eslovènia), FiraTàrrega (Espanya), Inteatro Festival (Itàlia), MiramirO, Ghent (Bèlgica), Scènes de Rue, Mulhouse (França), Stockton International Riverside Festival (UK), Stockholm Culture festival (Suècia). Coordination: Mike Ribalta. Tel. +34 973 311 608 COORDINADORA DE FERIAS DE ARTES ESCÉNICAS In January 2006, the Coordinadora de Ferias de Artes Escénicas del Estado Español was set up in Madrid. Its aim is to promote co-ordination, communication and collaboration between the different Spanish performing arts fairs, and establish mechanisms for co-operation with other entities with similar initiatives, as well as to be an interlocutor in decision-taking and management forums and defend the interests of the members. PROJECTE ALCOVER The Projecte Alcover is defined as a free association of a series of municipal entities in the Catalan-speaking areas. It currently includes town councils from the Balearic Islands, the Valencia region, Catalonia and Andorra and has the aim of creating a stable infrastructure for exchanges and an informal place for sharing and co-ordinating resources. It currently promotes co-ordinated tours of theatrical spectacles in any of the Catalan-speaking territories, giving priority to cultural criteria over commercial ones. It is a commitment to theatrical creation in Catalan. The first edition was in 1996.
