La Fira is the subject of study and analysis in the book “Facets of Contemporary Event Management – Theory & Practice for Event Success” published by this German university
A book published by the Bad Honnef University in Bonn (Germany) has chosen the case of FiraTàrrega to analyse the theory and practice applied when organising a successful event.
This volume, under the title “Facets of Contemporary Event Management – Theory & Practice for Event Success”, is the work of professor Ulrich Wünsch and analyses different cases of organisations with the common link of a good strategy and planning to achieve positive results. This way, the Fira de Tàrrega has been chosen as an example of the stage market; Harry Potter as an example of innovation in the promotion and distribution of a book; Rotterdam as a city that makes the most of its relations with the festivals it hosts; and, among other models, Toyota as a creator of an activity to link the inhabitants of a city to their company philosophy.
The book inaugurates a new series by this international university of applied sciences that approach with various aspects related to management from different points of view. In this first volume, in which FiraTàrrega is analysed, professor Wünsch argues that the “successful events are those that are strategically well planned”. According to her, the book provides the reader with the bases for creating and evaluating events so that they reach the target audience successfully.
