The Creation Lab is an annual FiraTàrrega competition that has the objective of encouraging the production of street performances. It is intended for new artists, emerging talents and experienced professionals that are beginning a business project that is interested in producing shows for an urban setting. It is designed for companies, circus artists or creators, dance or theatre, with administrative residence in Catalonia.
The selected project will receive financial support from FiraTàrrega of € 4,000 as well as a creative residency in Tàrrega for a maximum period of four weeks between March and August, and the resulting performance will be part of the FiraTàrrega programming for 2012. During the residency period, the fair will cover the accommodations of the company, up to 20 people, as well as logistical, operational, technical and promotional support during the residency for the creation/production of the show. FiraTàrrega will also offer a series of tutorials with each of its departments to prepare the participation in FiraTàrrega 2012 and the subsequent dissemination of the show.
