Open rehearsal: Chroma Teatre

Jul 29 2018

The Mexican playwright Antonio Zúñiga accepted the commission from FiraTàrrega to write a theatrical text for the public space based on the historical memory, aimed at all audiences. Zúñiga held a writing residence in Tàrrega during May in the framework of the Support for Creation programme and coinciding with the application of the "Pla de fosses" (Mass graves plan) by the Generalitat de Catalunya, which included a tribute to two international brigadiers buried in the municipal cemetery. The resulting piece is this "Flying practices to end forgetting" that presents a timeless dialogue between an aviator who died in the war and his grandson. A delicate and ingenious text that includes an explicit homage to Antoine de Saint Exupéry and gives an objective external and literary vision of this process of research and recovery of a significant moment in our recent history. This family show is directed by Melina Pereyra, actress and playwright known to audiences for her participation in the Shards (2012) and Sapucay (2015), both presented at the Fira.
